Ever have one of those days when you could use a little extra encouragement? I'm loving this video and Jessica's attitude. I CAN DO ANYTHING GOOD...from the mouth of babes. I think I will start my morning like this! Now if only I could fit on top of my bathroom sink!

Live with intention. Walk to the edge. Listen hard. Practice wellness. Play with abandon. Laugh. Choose with no regret. Appreciate your friends. Continue to learn. Do what you love. Live as if this is all there is.

New Year, New Career

The good news is the unemployment rate dropped to 9.7% in January and that is considered an improvement. Sure, today’s economy is less than desirable (duh!), but that doesn’t mean opportunities aren't out there for you if you want to find a new job. Whether you’re a victim of being downsized, need break or looking for a fresh start, here's career advice and job seeking tips to help you nail a new career.
1. Avoid the online job boards. That’s where everyone searches, so it has the biggest pool of applicants. Go old school and search the newspaper ads.
2. Pace yourself. Not every day will be a step forward – but as long as you continue to plow along, things will happen.
3. Collect references. A good word is the secret to a good job when competition is fierce.
4. Discover online networking. Cocktail parties and mixers are all fine and good, but online social networks are the latest breeding ground for connections.

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year!! I can't believe that not only are we starting a new year but a new decade. It's like a FRESH start. So leave all your worries and fear in 2009. Let's begin this new year by taking the bull by the horns and really begin to LIVE and attract everything I want. A few of my goals for 2010:
1) To empower as many woman as possible by providing them with the tools, resources and confidence to become the CEO of their career and life.
2) To spend more time with friends and family. As an entrepreneur sometimes the lines can get blurry
3) Take a vacation ~ I haven't been on a vacay since 2007! Wayyy to long.
4) Exercise more and eat less junk food ~ working my ~ing really helps me feel so alive and I'm going to need a clear head and open heart in order to accomplish #1.
5) Attend more networking events ~ because it's fun to meet new people and support them with their vision
6) Get a killer pair of heels preferably with red bottoms ~ cuz a girl's gotta be cute!
So what are your goals for 2010? How can It's A Chick Thing support you?
Here's wishing you an abundant 2010!
